Planned Drone Testing at Dalton Barracks – Thursday Evening
Planned drone testing will take place at Dalton Barracks on Thursday between 6pm and 10pm, involving around 50 drones. Residents may see or hear the activity, but please don’t be alarmed – it is planned testing and no action is required.

Residents are advised that planned drone testing will be taking place at Dalton Barracks on Thursday evening between 6pm and 10pm.
We have been informed that approximately 50 drones will be involved in the testing. Residents in Shippon and the surrounding area may therefore see drones in the vicinity of the airfield or hear some buzzing during this period.
Please don’t be alarmed – this is planned activity and no action is required from residents.
We are sharing the information in advance so that the local community is aware of what is taking place. The activity is expected to cause minimal disruption.
